Qualifying pack sizes include: 250g, 500g, 1kg, 2kg, 2,5kg, 5kg, 10kg, 12.5kg, and 25kg.

Terms and Conditions for the “SA’s Sweetest Moments” Promotion

The name of the competition is “Sweet Summer Bucks”.

The competition commences 01 November 2019 and ends 31 January 2020.

This competition is brought to you by Illovo Sugar (South Africa) (Pty) Ltd.

Application and interpretation

Participation in this promotion (“Promotion”) is subject to these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) and any person participating in this Promotion agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
The purposes of these Terms and Conditions:

"Promoter" means Illovo Sugar (South Africa) (Pty) Ltd;
“Illovo Group” means the Promoter and any party that the Promoter directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by;
“Participating Store” means any trading store which stocks the Illovo Sugar products referred to below and in which the Promoter is actively running this promotion.

Duration

The Promotion will run from 00:00 on 01 November 2019 until 23:59 on 31 January 2020 after which date the Promotion will automatically terminate and no further entries will be accepted.
Despite the above, this Promotion is carried out on a daily basis. Therefore, all entries received between 00:00 and 23:59 on any day during the abovementioned period, will be included in a daily draw for that day which will be carried out the following working day.
Entries not drawn in respect of a daily draw will not be included in any further daily draws. Only those received on a particular day will participate in the daily draw for that day.
In addition to any other rights contained in these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter reserves the right to terminate or curtail the period of the Promotion (without incurring any liability to any entrant) at any time with immediate effect by publishing a notice to that effect on www.illovosugarsa.co.za and/or its social media pages and each entrant waives any claim it may have arising out of that termination.
Similarly, the duration of this Promotion may be extended at the sole discretion of the Promoters. If this is the case, the Promoters will provide notice of this on the website and/or social media pages.

Entrants

Subject to the provisions below, this Promotion is open to all residents of South Africa of the age 18 years or older with a valid ID/passport.
Participants must comply with these Terms and Conditions in order to qualify for this Promotion.
No members, employees, directors, agents, Participating Stores or consultants of the Promoter or the Illovo Group (or any of their immediate families) may enter this Promotion.
Winners will need to produce their ID book or passport to validate that they are over the age of 18 and their till slip as proof of purchase.

Prize

The prize is R5 000 cash.
One (1) R5 000 cash prize will be awarded to one winner every day for the duration of the promotion.
The Prize is non-refundable, non-exchangeable and non-transferable.
Prizes cannot be exchanged for an alternative prize and no negotiations will be entered into.
Winners shall be notified via telephone and/or email. Participants must therefore ensure that the Promoters have their correct, updated details. If the winner cannot be contacted after sending three emails and/or three phone calls on one business day, the prize will be forfeited and a redraw will take place.
Once contact has been made, the winner will have 48 hours to send through documentation.
The cash prize will be awarded to the winner via Standard Bank Cash Sends 10 working days after all required documentation and information has been provided by the winner and the winner has been verified.
Winners will then receive a unique pin number via SMS.
Winners will then receive a second unique pin number from Standard Bank within 24 hours.
To claim their cash prize, winners must go to any Standard Bank ATM, select Cardless Cash Withdrawal and enter both pin numbers received.
Winners do not need to have a Standard Bank account to claim their prize.
Winners have 30 days (from the day they receive their pin numbers) to claim their cash prize.
Winners must ensure that they have provided their correct details.Neither the Promoter, nor its agents or consultants will be liable for any failure to provide correct details.

Promotion

Qualifying pack sizes include: 250g, 500g, 1kg, 2kg, 2,5kg, 5kg, 10kg, 12.5kg, and 25kg.
Participants must purchase any single pack or baler of the qualifying pack size of Illovo Sugar from a Participating Store during the promotional period to qualify.
Qualifying participants will then need to dial *120*663663# and follow the prompts to enter the lucky draw.
USSD line costs R0.60 per 60 seconds.
No entries by post or any other form will be accepted.
Incorrect or incomplete entries will be considered invalid.
Only one entry per pack purchased.
A till slip must be retained as proof of purchase.
The till slip needs to correspond with date of entry.
Winners will be randomly drawn from all valid entries received during that day by an independent auditor.
Winners will need to provide a till slip as proof of purchase, a copy of their ID, a signed undertaking as confirmation for compliance with these Terms and Conditions and such other documents or information reasonably required by the Promoter or its agent, in order to redeem the cash prize.

General

Winners’ details may be displayed on the website at www.illovosugarsa.co.za, and other Illovo Sugar social media and marketing platforms.
Any entrant may refuse to participate in any marketing or have their image used by the Promoter by notifying the Promoter thereof in writing.
In the event of a dispute, the decision of the Promoter will be final, and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
Entrants who, in the Promoter’s sole determination, act unlawfully, fraudulently, in breach of these Terms and Conditions or otherwise dishonestly may be disqualified from participating in the Promotion and shall not be eligible to win any prize.
If the winner/s fail/s to comply with these Terms and Conditions, the winner/s will be disqualified and will forfeit the prize.
Entries which contain errors will be considered invalid.
Not all entrants are guaranteed winners.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Exclusions of liability and indemnity

Without limiting any other exclusion provided for in these Terms and Conditions, the promoter and/or the Illovo Group will not be liable for any loss, expense, costs, liability, claim or damages (whether direct, indirect or consequential, arising out of or in connection with the participation in this Promotion.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to, or must be understood to, unlawfully restrict, limit or avoid any rights or obligations, as the case may be, created for either the participant or the Promoter in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 ("CPA"), if applicable.
Qualifying participants hereby consent to and undertake to expeditiously do all things necessary to enable the Promoters to comply with their obligations under the CPA (where applicable) including, but not limited to providing and the use of such personal information as may be required in order to facilitate handing over the prize.
The Promoter is not liable for any technical failure that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted.
Any prize is accepted by a winner at his/her own risk and the Promoter is not liable, at any time, for any defect in the prize.
The Promoter will not be responsible for the collection of any of the prizes, once the money has been transferred to the winner.
By entering the Promotion and/or accepting any prize, the participants hereby indemnify, release and hold harmless the Promoter including its subsidiaries, holding companies and affiliates and their directors, employees, agents, suppliers and contractors from and against any actions, claims and/or liability for injury, loss, damage, expense, claims and/or damages of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Promotion, and/or the use, acceptance or possession of a prize, and/or participation (or non-participation) in a prize -related activity.
Without limiting any other exclusion provided for in these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter will not be held liable for any harm or consequential loss as a result of use of the prize.
