Cane to Customer Course: Strengthening Relationships

The Illovo Cane to Customer Course, held at the Eston Technical Academy, was a full house with customers from across the country in attendance.

Day one kicked off with a warm welcome from Managing Director Ricky Govender, who engaged with attendees and shared valuable insights into the business, along with a brief overview of what to expect from the course. This was followed by an engaging theoretical session titled From Farm to Fork, led by Group Quality Manager Naiem Ally. The session offered an in-depth understanding of the sugar industry, covering the journey of sugar from cultivation to consumption.

On day two, customers embarked on a guided tour of Fountain Hill Estate Farm and Noodsberg Mill, where they witnessed firsthand the processes and practices involved in sugar production.

Head of Commercial and Supply Chain, Hlako Rachidi, was also in attendance, further emphasizing the importance of customer engagement and collaboration.​
